Question Details:

An object is placed 1.0 m in front of a converging lens, of focal length 0.5 m, which is 

2.0 m in front of a plane mirror.  (a) Where is the final image, measured from the lens, 

that would be seen by an eye looking toward the mirror through the lens? (b) Determine 

the total magnification.  (c) Is the final image real or virtual?  Is the final image upright or 

inverted?  (d) Verify your calculations with a ray diagram.

 use the equation so
1/1+1/u=1/0.5
u=1 m 
magnification = m=1/1=1 times (same size of object)
since u is positive so
image is real
and the object is placed at 2f  so it is
inverted
