ketone formula is given by: CnH2nO and it does not follow it
here n = 40 but 2n = 82 it should be 80
so it is not a ketone

The index of hydrogen deficiency allows you to calculate the number of possible π-bonds and/or rings from a molecular formula.

The IHD for this formula is = 1/2[(2(40)+2) - (82)] = 0

There are no π-bonds in this molecule, and since a ketone must have 1 π-bond, this molecule cannot have this functional group.
