b)the average DC voltage across RL=14V
diode has a voltage drop of .7 V
so voltage before rectification=14.7 V
so voltage on secondary terminal of centre tapped transformer=14.7*2=29.4 V

c)now, C=Idc/2fΔV
here f=60
Idc=VRL/RL=14/120=.117 A
ΔV=.5-(-.5)=1V

so C=.99 mF

d)max voltage across diodes=14-(-14.7)=28.7
for a 50% safety margin a diode with PIV rating of 60V
