Question Details:
A steam power plant operates with a high pressure of 4 MPa and has a boiler exit of 600C receiving heat from a 700C source.  The ambient air at 20C provides cooling to maintain the condenser at 60C.  All components are ideal except for the turbine, which has an isoentropic efficiency of 92%.  Find the ideal and actual turbine exit qualities.  Find the actual specific work and specific heat transfer in all four components.
The answers given are:
ideal: 0.9236, actual: 0.96585
w_t=1145.4kJ/kg
w_p=4.05kJ/kg
q_H=3419.3kJ/kg
q_L=2277.9kJ/kg
