Response Details:
as magnetic field in a straight wire is  B = µoi/2πr

you need 'r' at different places(Like A, B, C, D)

at C (distance from the centre is 0 as the point is on the wire):

  Mag Field B = µo*10/(2π*0) = infinite
At D and B, distance from centre of wire = 1.1mm=1.1*10-3m

Hence B = µo*10/(2π*1.1*10-3)

At A: distance from centre is √(1.1mm)2*(1.1mm)2 ˜ 1.55mm =1.55*10-3m

Mag field at A = µo*10/(2π*1.55*10-3)

Hope this helps you!

i believe you would use (μ_0/4pi)(I*dL*sin(theta))/r^2

dL is the 1.10mm segment

Response Details:
I = 10 A
dl = 1.10 mm = .0011m
distance between A and B = 14cm = .14m
distance between B and C = 5cm = .05m
a) point A
Use Eq. (28.5)
B =
   = 4.00 x 10-7 T

b) point B
Use Eq. (28.5)
B =
   = 1.52 x 10-8 T

c) point C
Use Eq. (28.5)
B =
   = 0
