Response Details:

the time period of the oscillation   T = 2π√(m/k)
(a) If the mass is doubled
   T α √m
so the time period becomes √2 times
 i.e.,  T = 4.0s * √2 = 5.65 s
(b) If the mass is havled
     T α √m
so the time period becomes 1/√2 times
 i.e.,  T = 4.0s * 1/√2 = 2.82s
(c) the amplitude is doubled
The time period is independent of amplitude
(d) The spring constant  is doubled
       T α 1/k
       so it becomes 1/√2 times
  i.e., T = 4.0s * 1/√2 = 2.82s

I hope this helps! Best of luck with the rest of your coursework.
