Question Details:
"for an intensity of 1kwatt/m2, how much power is required on an area of 250cm2?

I know that, IA=P which gives me 1kwatt/m2 * 250 cm2. but do I have to convert 250 cm2 to m2? I've never done any of these problems before so if you could help me out that would be great.

Response Details:

    Intensity, I = 1 kwatt / m2

= 1000 watt / m2

Area , A = 250 cm2

  = 250 X 10 -4 m2

Power, P = I A

                   = 1000 watt / m * 250 X 10 -4 m2

                   = 25 W
