       Given that the horizontal distance is R = 80 m
       angle is = 45o
---------------------------------------------------------------------

 Horizontal distance covered by the projectile with initial velocity u is 
                   R = u2 sin2θ / g 
             80 m =  u2 sin90o /  ( 9.8m/s2 )
                  u = 28 m/s
